Free museums
One collection that is always free, two museums on Wednesdays, the Glyptotek once a month. Everything is taken from the museums’ websites.
Where can you get in for free?

All are closed on Mondays. At the Glyptotek, guided tours can no longer be booked on free Wednesdays.
Free for under-18s
No free day is listed at the SMK (140 DKK), the National Museum (150 DKK) or the Hirschsprung Collection (110 DKK), but under-18s get in free.
A good route idea
On a Wednesday, Thorvaldsens Museum and Nikolaj Kunsthal are both in the historic centre, and Davids Samling stays open until 21:00. On the last Wednesday of the month, add the Glyptotek, arriving early.
Free Tuesday entry for pensioners ends on 1 January 2027 at Thorvaldsens Museum and Nikolaj Kunsthal. Check the museum’s website before you come: a free day can change.
