Two days in the city and a train escape to the Louisiana museum, facing the sea.

Day 1: The centre and the harbour
- Nyhavn — 45 min. The old harbour with its colourful façades: the image of Copenhagen everyone has already seen, and which you should still go and see.
- Canal tour — 1 h. The city seen from the water: the most relaxing way to take in Nyhavn, Christianshavn and the Opera House in one go.
- Round Tower (Rundetaarn) — 45 min. A 17th-century observatory reached not by a staircase, but by a spiral ramp.
- Tivoli Gardens — 3 h. An amusement park and pleasure garden since 1843, in the heart of the city. It is best enjoyed at nightfall.
Day 2: Louisiana
- Louisiana — 3 h 30. One of the world’s most beautiful modern art museums, opening onto its sculpture park and the sea.
Day 3: Christianshavn and Slotsholmen
- Christiansborg Palace — 1 h 30. Parliament, the Prime Minister’s Office and the royal reception rooms, all together on the islet of Slotsholmen.
- The Black Diamond — 40 min. The extension of the Royal Library: a block of polished black granite on the harbourfront, open to all and free.
- Church of Our Saviour — 1 h. A twisted black and gold spire whose final stretch you climb on the outside, high above Christianshavn.
- Christiania — 1 h 15. A community born in 1971 in a former barracks: self-built houses, workshops, a lake and car-free paths.
Please noteLouisiana is closed on Mondays. The journey requires a City Pass Large, or the Copenhagen Card DISCOVER.
